Arthur has always been notoriously vocal in referring to the restaurant/hospitality business as being “the toughest business in the world,” perhaps just short of being considered “a life sentence without parole.” By staying on top of your operating ratios with RAS1 every week, the risk factor in this demanding industry becomes diminished.

Although in 1985 he started off his initial business in general business consulting, Arthur realized the desperate need in most restaurants involved the lack of financial information and back office functions. With tasks such as vendor invoice payments, checkbook reconciliation and inventory payroll. Arthur knew he could do a better job with the "back office functions" of the restaurant industry and let the owner have more time to spend “out front" of their restaurant. So, in 1989, Restaurant Accounting Solutions was formed. Since then, Arthur has strived to help business owners save money while giving them more control of their restaurant’s operations.
